The Bahati Foundation is a compassion-driven nonprofit based in Alexandria, Virginia, dedicated to supporting families with babies in the NICU and families facing pregnancy and postpartum complications by providing care that extends beyond medicine into emotional support, advocacy, and human connection. Founded from the lived experience of its founder—who welcomed her first child at 26 weeks and navigated weeks in the NICU, and later endured a high-risk second pregnancy complicated by a stroke—the foundation was born from a deep, firsthand understanding of both neonatal and maternal medical fragility.
